Band

During the school day, students in all grades are offered the opportunity to participate in band.  This program meets during a student’s study hall period.  This is a graded class, and the grades are averaged for honor roll status. 

Jazz Band 

The Jazz Band ia an extra-curricular group that requires audition for membership.

There are three grade-level chorus classes that meet in place of study hall. Chorus is open to all students regardless of musical experience. As this is a graded class, the grade earned is averaged into the GPA and affects honor roll status. In addition to the curricular grade level groups, there are two extra-curricular ensembles that meet before school.

6th Grade Orchestra

Students who have been in 4th and 5th grade orchestra are welcome to join 6th grade orchestra. Students will meet daily (unless they are in orchestra and choir) at 1:08 in the orchestra room. They will be pulled out once a week on a rotating schedule, for group lessons. Sixth grade orchestra students will have 3 concerts this year, the opportunity to audition for our Chamber Orchestra, the opportunity to participate in holiday concerts and Solo and Ensemble, and go on a field trip at the end of the year.

7th Grade Orchestra 

Seventh grade orchestra meets daily (unless your child is in orchestra and choir) at 11:45. Students will again be pulled out once a week on a rotating schedule, for group lessons. We will again have three concerts this year, holiday concert opportunities, the opportunity to continue in C.C.O.C, perform at Solo and Ensemble, and go on a field trip at the end of the year. 

8th Grade Orchestra 

Eighth grade orchestra meets daily (unless your child is in orchestra and choir) at 10:08. Students will again be pulled out once a week on a rotating schedule, for group lessons. We will have three concerts this year, holiday concert opportunities, the opportunity to continue in C.C.O.C, perform at Solo and Ensemble, and go on a field trip at the end of the year.

Creekside Chamber Orchestra Club

The Creekside Chamber Orchestra meets weekly on Tuesday mornings before school at 7:30 A.M. in the orchestra room. Interested 6th grade students will have the opportunity to audition for the group. Students who were in the group last year do not need to audition. Students will learn 2 additional pieces during our C.C.O.C rehearsals and perform them at our concerts. Last year we performed pieces like Don't Stop Believin', Stairway To Heaven, and Smells Like Teen Spirit.  I am excited to work with these dedicated students again!
