Meet our Administrators
Principal Ryan Doyle
August 2024
Hello Creekside students and families,
First, I hope everyone is enjoying the summer and you are all able to relax and rejuvenate! Hard to believe we are less than a month away from the start of school. I'd like to start off by welcoming back our returning Falcons!
For our incoming 6th graders and new students, I'd like to introduce myself. My name is Ryan Doyle, the Principal of Creekside Middle School. This is my 4th year here at Creekside and 7th year in District 200! My wife, Ryane, and I moved to Woodstock 13 years ago, and we have two very energetic boys who keep us on our toes, 9-year-old Brantley and 7-year-old Easton. Woodstock is our home, and we are proud to send our boys to District 200 schools! I started my educational career 14 years ago as a middle school math teacher at Hannah Beardsley in Crystal Lake. I then served as the assistant principal of Village Elementary School in Round Lake for 2 years, and prior to Creekside, I was the principal of Dean Street Elementary School for 3 years.
Throughout my experience, I have focused on supporting students academically, socially, and emotionally. At Creekside, my goal is to empower both teachers and students to reach their full potential. I truly believe all students can learn! I wholeheartedly believe in building meaningful relationships with the staff, students, parents, and the community. To accomplish this, expect to see me in the hallways, classrooms, lunchroom, at after-school activities, and to fully immerse myself in the community. Students will receive rigorous instruction and be provided with many opportunities to grow and persevere! Here at Creekside, the lines of communication will be open for me to highlight all of the wonderful things our students are accomplishing.
My promise to you is that I will help support your child in a year full of engaging and meaningful work, and most importantly, that your child will have numerous opportunities to grow. I hope to continue to help Creekside be a place where children and families feel an atmosphere of curiosity, interactions, stimulation, and fun. Here’s to a great new year!
Go Falcons!
Enthusiastically,
Ryan Doyle

Greetings Creekside Students and Families,
I hope you all enjoyed this summer as much as I have and are ready to get started with the 2024-2025 school year! I’m excited to greet all of our new students and welcome back our returning falcons.
For those who don’t know me, I’m Kristopher Nickolas, the Assistant Principal here at Creekside Middle School. I’ve enjoyed calling Woodstock my home for the past 5 years. My wife, Kiersten, and my 2 daughters, Kalani(5) and Kinsley(3), enjoy participating in all the local events this town has to offer, especially the farmer’s market during the summer. This year my oldest gets to do the 90/10 program at Dean Street Elementary, and the Nickolas household is very excited for that adventure. Prior to starting here at Creekside, I was a Middle School Teacher in both Peoria, IL and Belvidere, IL. I then became an Assistant Principal at Meehan Elementary then Washington Academy both in Belvidere. Now I’m starting my 2nd year here!
I want to emphasize the importance of building strong relationships that support a successful and safe learning environment for all our students. I firmly believe that the foundation of any successful learning experience lies in a supportive community where students feel valued, heard, and encouraged to reach their full potential.
My primary goal is to foster these relationships and create an inclusive school environment where each student feels seen, respected, and supported. I am committed to working closely with you, the teachers, staff, and fellow parents, to help every child's journey at Creekside Middle School is one characterized by growth, empowerment, and joy.
I am beyond excited about the journey that lies ahead, and I am confident that, with us working together, we can guide our students towards a successful path. I can’t wait to see you all in August!
Go Falcons!

Hello Creekside Falcons -
My name is Jason Laidig and I am looking forward to my 3rd year at Creekside! I will continue my role as a PE teacher, Dean of Students and Athletic Director this year. This is my 23rd year in the District working with middle school students. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my lovely wife Shanon and my two beautiful children Julia (17) and Liam (15). My hobbies include watching my kids play sports, exercising, traveling, and playing with my 3 year old black lab, Shelby. Also in my freetime I enjoy reading, watching Dateline, and listening to a variety of genres of music while hanging out with good friends. My favorite part of middle school is building genuine relationships with each student. I am looking forward to seeing the returning students in August and meeting all of our new ones, too!
