Meet our Administrators
Principal Ryan Doyle
July 2025

First, I hope everyone is enjoying the summer and you are all able to relax and rejuvenate! Hard to believe we are less than a month away from the start of school. I'd like to start off by welcoming back our returning Falcons!
For our incoming 6th graders and new students, I'd like to introduce myself. My name is Ryan Doyle, the Principal of Creekside Middle School. This is my 5th year here at Creekside and 8th year in District 200! My wife, Ryane, and I moved to Woodstock 14 years ago, and we have two very energetic boys who keep us on our toes, 10-year-old Brantley and 8-year-old Easton. Woodstock is our home, and we are proud to send our boys to District 200 schools! I started my educational career 15 years ago as a middle school math teacher at Hannah Beardsley in Crystal Lake. I then served as the assistant principal of Village Elementary School in Round Lake for 2 years, and prior to Creekside, I was the principal of Dean Street Elementary School for 3 years.
Throughout my experience, I have focused on supporting students academically, socially, and emotionally. At Creekside, my goal is to empower both teachers and students to reach their full potential. I truly believe all students can learn! I wholeheartedly believe in building meaningful relationships with the staff, students, parents, and the community. To accomplish this, expect to see me in the hallways, classrooms, lunchroom, at after-school activities, and to fully immerse myself in the community. Students will receive rigorous instruction and be provided with many opportunities to grow and persevere! Here at Creekside, the lines of communication will be open for me to highlight all of the wonderful things our students are accomplishing.
My promise to you is that I will help support your child in a year full of engaging and meaningful work, and most importantly, that your child will have numerous opportunities to grow. I hope to continue to help Creekside be a place where children and families feel an atmosphere of curiosity, interactions, stimulation, and fun. Here’s to a great new year!
Go Falcons!
Enthusiastically,
Ryan Doyle

Welcome to the 2025-2026 School Year!
I’m excited to get this school year started and can’t wait to see all of our new and returning Falcons. I hope you all had a great summer full of activities and relaxation!
I’m Kristopher Nickolas, the Assistant Principal here at Creekside Middle School. I’ve enjoyed calling Woodstock my home for the past 6 years. My wife, Kiersten, and my 2 daughters, Kalani(6) and Kinsley(4), enjoy participating in all that Woodstock has to offer. This is my third year at Creekside. Before this awesome role, I was a Middle School Teacher in both Peoria, IL and Belvidere, IL. I became an Assistant Principal in Belvidere before and worked at two of their elementary schools.
I look forward to another year as a part of Team Creekside to support our Falcons. It’s another year of working with supportive parents/guardians, top level teachers and staff, and amazing students. I plan to continue to support the team by keeping our school a successful and safe learning environment for all who come to our building, new or returning. This year I’ll focus on building relationships and support that get our students to show up everyday, focus on their school work, and treat each other with respect.
We are going to have another great year at Creekside, and I’m glad that we get to be on the same team to experience it.
Go Falcons!

July 2024
Hello Creekside Falcons -
My name is Jason Laidig and I am looking forward to my 3rd year at Creekside! I will continue my role as a PE teacher, Dean of Students and Athletic Director this year. This is my 23rd year in the District working with middle school students. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my lovely wife Shanon and my two beautiful children Julia (17) and Liam (15). My hobbies include watching my kids play sports, exercising, traveling, and playing with my 3 year old black lab, Shelby. Also in my freetime I enjoy reading, watching Dateline, and listening to a variety of genres of music while hanging out with good friends. My favorite part of middle school is building genuine relationships with each student. I am looking forward to seeing the returning students in August and meeting all of our new ones, too!
Go Falcons!
